Ways to play
Men's hockey
Impis has men's 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams. The 1st team competes in the KZN Super League.
Ladies' hockey
Impis has ladies' 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams. The 1st team competes in the KZN Super League.
Juniors (U6 - U13)
Junior hockey and parent queries managed through our junior section, focusing on early development and fun on the turf.

Indoor and outdoor seasons
Indoor and outdoor are formats played within the club, not separate types of membership.
Indoor hockey
Indoor hockey runs from February to March. It is a format played within the club, alongside outdoor hockey.
Outdoor hockey
Outdoor hockey runs from April to September.
Where we play
All local club training and indoor, outdoor and social hockey is at Ashton College, Ballito. Away league fixtures are played at the host venue.
Training
A typical week
Each week includes formal training sessions, social games on Mondays and Thursdays, and league matches at the weekend.
Team training times are set at the start of each season
Formal team schedules will appear here once they are set. Casual social hockey games run regularly on Mondays and Thursdays.
Fees
Fees for the outdoor season (April to September):
Adults: R3,000
University students: R2,800
School pupils: R2,600
Ages and eligibility
Junior hockey is for U6 - U13 players.
Senior Hockey Eligibility: Players must be turning 14 to play in our senior divisions, and turning 16 to compete in the Super League.
Kit
Ordering custom club kit is only necessary for players in our league teams. Social players can wear standard, comfortable sports gear.
First get a confirmed shirt number from the club. Then contact Custom Apparel directly to order your kit.
League Registration & External Requirements
These steps are only required for players joining our competitive league teams. Social players do not need them.
Sportivo and SAHA are external systems: Impis explains them here but does not manage either.
1. Sportivo affiliation
Sportivo is KwaZulu-Natal's mandatory platform for club affiliation and player transfers. It is a KZN requirement, not an Impis fee or membership system.
2. SAHA registration
League players must register with the South African Hockey Association (SAHA) to obtain their official SAHA player number.
